Crack the Script - CIE Writer's Workshop Special Session

script.jpg

Writer’s Workshop goes public for the first time!

CIE Writer's Workshop's main objective is to help young writers improve their scripts through creative discussions with their peers. Usually, we host an in-person monthly workshop focusing on one writer's script.

However, as CIE continues to support our community during the pandemic, we will hold a virtual Special Session on August 16th, led by our guest instructor Peter Markham. Mr. Markham will break down the script of Oscar-winning Moonlight to help our young writers gain more insights into what differentiates a great script from an average one.

Schedule:

  • Date: Aug 16, Sunday

  • Time: 1-3 PM (PST)

Ticket: Please RSVP below for Zoom info

About CIE Writer's Workshop

The writers’ workshop is a monthly held event sponsored by Final Draft and co-hosted with Entertainment Oxygen. Members of the Writers’ Workshop meet monthly or on a need-to-meet basis to work on their original pitches, screenplays, and teleplays. Each workshop session is usually two hours long and limited to less than 12 participants so that everyone has enough time to talk and share their thoughts. The workshop environment is honest but friendly, and we firmly believe that participating in a private and constructive workshop allows both the writer and the participants to gain new insights and grow together as a creative community.

If you are interested in joining the Writer's Workshop community and be a part of our monthly event, please feel free to send your script to writers@sino-screen.com.
